Carbon dating goes way back (certain items can be dated as far back as 60,000 years).
But that’s not the kind of dating we’re talking about here. Check back soon for dating that involves a guy, a girl, and a romantic stroll on a beach at sunset. (Remember the good ol’ days when you came across a page under construction and it said: “under construction”?) 🙂
For now, since we mentioned carbon dating: this method of dating objects suffer a few limitations of course. For example : thanks to the industrial revolution’s output of CO2, carbon dating is essentially useless for dating anything that’s lived within the last 160 years (apparently the “geniuses” that invented steam power weren’t smart enough to take this into account).
